“Caution“

"Caution" (121"L, 47"W, 64"H) is a short-faced bear (Arctodus simus), a formidable animal that went extinct approximately 12 thousand years ago, likely due to human and climate impacts. This piece will stop people in their tracks and cause them to reflect on the impact humans have on the landscape, and on the tenuousness of our own existence.  This piece is the second work in a series of prehistoric animals I have created. The first, a mastodon, garnered national attention and praise, and was featured on CBC Arts, on the front page of the Province newspaper, and in a Vancouver Sun feature.  Please contact me if you are interesting in displaying this piece.
